Nashville Auditions for SWEENEY TODD - January 12

The TONY-winning Broadway musical that inspired the recent Hollywood film Sweeney Todd, starring Johnny Depp is set to open at The Nashville Dinner Theatre Feb 8. Nashville auditions will be held Saturday, January 12 from 11am - 5pm at the theatre at 108 Donelson Pike.

Director Kaine Riggan is considering a non-traditional cast for the leads, so African-American singer-actors are strongly encouraged to audition. Please bring sheet music or pre-recorded tracks as everyone will be required to sing. Music Director Mark Beall will provide piano accompaniment.

Rehearsals are 6-10 in the evenings January 13 -Feb 7 and the show runs Thursdays - Sundays Feb 8 - 24. For more information, visit www.NashvilleDinnerTheatre.com or email Kaine@nashvillestages.com

For Mame, (April run date) we are only auditioning actresses with television or major Broadway credits for the role of Mame. Classic TV is a plus.

VOCAL AUDITIONS ONLY. Please bring prepared vocal selection. Piano accompaniment provided. We are looking specifically for African-American leads for an upcoming production of SWEENEY TODD. Mrs. Lovett, Sweeney, Anthony, Joanna and The Begger Woman will all be African American. Rehearsals will start January 14 and the show runs February 1-16.
